Past Rides:

5/12/18

  • Evans Trail between Alexandria and Newark, 17 miles
  • Pre-Ride Devotion Topic: the group discussed how God typically uses ordinary people, not biblical superstars to accomplish His will !

6/9/18

HCC rode a recently completed segment of the Ohio to Erie Trail!  The ride was 26 mile round trip along the Kokosing Gap & Mohican Valley Trails between Danville & Glenmont.  The ride was more eventful than most HCC rides and included running over a ground hog (it appeared OK for those concerned!), one wipe out, a skunk who temporarily blocked our path, and sharing the path with Amish buggies!  Our pre-ride devotion was based on 1 Peter 3:15, which encouraged us to be prepared to give an answer for the hope we have as believers in Jesus!  For the record, that skunk didn’t seem to interested in listening to our Hope!

7/14/18

HCC rode the Alum Creek Trail between the Westerville Public Library and Ohio Dominican College (24 mile round trip).    The ride included frequent refreshment stops which allowed us time to chat with one another!  We were even fortunate to be able to watch 3 outs of a ODC baseball game.  Our pre-ride devotion was based on 1 Peter 4:10, which encourages us to use whatever gift God has given us to serve others!  We then discussed how serving others not only blesses the recipients, but also allows God to bless those who are serving!

8/18/18
Met at B&O Railroad Train Depot (507 W High St, Mt. Vernon, OH), 30 mile round trip ride (casual pace) along the scenic Kokosing Gap Trial btwn Mt. Vernon & Danville.
